New Year, New Look, New Us!

- January 31, 2017 -

We took the really difficult decision to close for two weeks in January. We realised that removing pizza from people’s lives in the darkest month was a cruel thing to do, but GB•PIZZA•CO needed a facelift. After four incredibly busy years – busier than we could ever have hoped for – the restaurant needed a new look, more storage and some much-needed attention.

Using our pink neon and grey pallet as inspiration, and local designers and makers to help us turn the vision into a reality, GB•PIZZA•CO reopened its doors on Wednesday 25th January 2017. The look? Kinda Margate meets Palm Springs and Beverly Hills, circa 1950.

With a bespoke neon piece using our “You Wanna Pizza Me?” logo – that’s been emblazoning our branding since we first opened in 2012; a mural designed by Margate hero Zoe Murphy; soft furnishings by local companies Browns Trimming and Lazy Goose; gorgeous worktops by Canterbury Stone; plus dusky pink metro tiles, brass trimmings and a brand new bar. The hard work was done by local building company Prime Contracting (South East) Limited.

Other shout-outs for support and being brilliant go to: JFK SignsMy Space Storage, Lobster Van Hire, signwriter Gary Wells, Frizzenti and Three Nations.
